The recently released Bollywood historical drama, Chhaava, is going great guns at the box office. This acclaimed biopic on the life and heroics of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj has amassed nearly Rs 225 crore nett at the domestic box office in 7 days, while it has surpassed the Rs 300 crore gross milestone globally.
In a well-deserved gesture, Chhaava has been made tax-free by the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Goa. The respective state governments have issued orders in this regard, with more states to follow up in the coming days. Needless to say, the tax-free order will ensure additional daily revenue for the makers and distributors.
Chhaava features national award-winning actor Vicky Kaushal, Akshaya Khanna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Vineet Kumar in lead roles. The Laxman Utekar directorial is produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. AR Rahman is the film’s music composer.
