When Kollywood actor Simbu was going through a rough patch with consecutive flops, he got huge relief in the form of Maanaadu. The sci-fi thriller directed by Venkat Prabhu received fantastic reviews and went on to become a huge blockbuster, earning Rs. 120 crores gross.
The movie is also popular among the Telugu audience as ‘The Loop.’ Simbu and SJ Suryah received immense praise for their portrayals. The latest buzz in Tamil film circles suggests a sequel to this mega hit is on the cards.
It is being said that Simbu and Venkat Prabhu will start working on Maanaadu 2 after wrapping up their existing commitments. Simbu currently has films with Dragon director Ashwath Marimuthu and Vetrimaaran. On the other hand, Venkat Prabhu has a project with Sivakarthikeyan. Let’s see if Maanaadu 2 will happen.
