Recently, Tollywood heart-throb Vijay Deverakonda announced that he will auction his first Filmfare award and donate the entire proceedings to the Telangana State Chief Minister Relief Fund. Vijay said that he will be happy if his contribution will be of some use for the betterment of Hyderabad, the city he was born in.
Vijay’s gesture not only touched his fans but even Telangana minister KTR appreciated the young hero’s noble gesture. And now, Bollywood stars Richa Chaddha, Onir, Juhi Chawla and Shikha Talsania are the latest celebs to appreciate Vijay’s initiative.
Meanwhile, interacting with an English daily, Vijay said that he is finding out the legal and transparent ways to raise money through his award. He has plans to auction his award on his website or even organize a fundraiser with CM KCR participating.
