Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in the gangster action drama King. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand of War and Pathaan fame, marks the theatrical debut of SRK’s daughter, Suhana Khan. The biggie is now in the pre-production stage and is set to go on the floors shortly.
According to a recent report in Pink Villa, Bollywood senior hero Anil Kapoor has come on board to play Shah Rukh Khan’s mentor in King. The report mentioned, “Shah Rukh Khan plays an assassin in King. Anil Kapoor will be seen as his handler. Multiple actors were considered for the part, but the team amicably felt that Anil Kapoor would suit the role to the T. Anil is also excited to collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan on this mega-budget actioner.”
Anil Kapoor played a crucial role in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, headlined by Hrithik Roshan. He was lauded for his performance as a strict officer, and it looks like Siddharth has once again penned an important character for Anil Kapoor. Abhishek Bachchan plays the antagonist. Deepika Padukone is said to be playing a special cameo. The big-ticket entertainer will also feature Arshad Warsi and Abhay Verma in key roles.
