The latest mystery thriller, Rekhachithram, became the first Malayalam blockbuster in 2025. While the recent Mollywood releases are struggling to post decent numbers, Rekhachithram did the unthinkable. Made with a shoestring budget, the film collected over Rs. 50 crores gross in its lifetime globally.
Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan played the lead roles. Though it’s been over a month since the film was released, it is yet to come on OTT. Finally, here is the much-awaited announcement. Rekhachithram will be available for streaming from March 14 on Sony LIV.
Set in the town of Malakkappara, the protagonist starts investigating what initially seems like a straightforward suicide case. However, as the investigation unfolds, hidden secrets emerge, revealing a deeper mystery, leading to a missing person’s case linked to a film shoot.
Rekhachithram is expected to be available in multiple languages from the said date. Directed by Jofin T. Chacko, Rekhachithram also stars Manoj K Jayan, Siddique, Jagadish, Saikumar, Harishree Ashokan, Indrans, Nishanth Sagar, and others in crucial roles. Mujeeb Majeed composed the tunes. Kavya Film Company and Ann Mega Media produced it.
