Recent Kannada horror comedy film Su From So turned out to be a sleeper hit. Despite not having big stars, the film did the unthinkable, grossing over Rs. 40 crores worldwide. It largely benefited from strong word of mouth after paid premieres in Karnataka. Later, it was released in Malayalam, and in this region too it is performing well.
Recognizing the film’s potential, Mythri Movie Distributors recently released the Telugu version. However, the dubbed version has underperformed big time and didn’t meet expectations. Su From So didn’t have much awareness among Telugu audiences and it also received below-par word of mouth. Those who have watched the movie are saying it isn’t as impressive as online buzz suggested.
