Chhaava, National Award-winning Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal’s recently released biopic on legendary Maratha warrior Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is erasing several existing and setting new benchmarks at the box office in India. The film’s collections are witnessing a big jump with each passing day.
On its second Saturday, Chhaava collected a whopping Rs 44.10 crore nett at the ticket counters across the country. This is the second highest second Saturday collection, after Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, which collected Rs 46.50 crore nett on its second Saturday. Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 stands at a distant third place with a second Saturday nett collection of Rs 33.80 crores. Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (Rs 32.47 Cr), Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 (Rs 31.07 Cr), Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (Rs 30.10 Cr) and Baahubali 2 (Rs 26.50 Cr) occupy the fourth, fifth and sixth positions, respectively.
Chhaava also features Bollywood star Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The Laxman Utekar directorial is produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner.
