On the occasion of Akkineni Nageshwar Rao’s birth anniversary, the Akkineni family has announced the the prestigious ANR National Award for the year 2014. Bollywood Megastar, Amitabh Bachchan has been chosen for this esteemed award which will be presented to him in Hyderabad.
The ANR National Award is a prestigious award instituted by the Akkineni International Foundation in the honor of the south legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao who passed away early this year. According to our sources, Amitabh has agreed to accept this award.
Previously, Sridevi, Shyam Benegal, Hema Malini, Dr. K. Balachander, Lata Mangeskar, Anjali Devi, Shabana Azmi and Dev Anand are the other eminent personalities who were awarded with this prestigious award.
