Bellamkonda Sreenivas is gearing up for the release of his next film, Bhairavam. The movie, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, also stars Nara Rohit and Manchu Manoj in prominent roles. During the promotions, Sreenivas opened up about remaking Prabhas and Rajamouli’s blockbuster Chatrapathi in Hindi.
The actor said, “Among current-generation actors, only Rana and Charan worked in Bollywood. I thought Charan’s Zanjeer didn’t work there since it was a remake of a Hindi film. Also, my producer Jayantilal Gada Garu told me that mother emotion and stepbrother emotion will always work in the Hindi belt. I thought people there wouldn’t have watched Chatrapathi.”
Bellamkonda Sreenivas added, “I believed Rajamouli Garu’s story would strike a chord with the Hindi audience because of strong emotions. Due to COVID, the consumption pattern has changed completely. I was in a dilemma during the shooting stage, which is why I didn’t give my 100%. I shouldn’t have remade such an iconic film.”
