It looks like Bollywood director Ayan Mukerji has shifted his focus to the much-awaited Brahmastra sequel following the disappointing result of Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2. The director’s latest Instagram post has fueled speculations about Brahmastra: Part 2 – Dev’s pre-production work.
Brahmastra: Part 1 – Shiva had Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in lead roles, with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone making special appearances. However, speculations are rife that the sequel will feature Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in lead roles.
The Brahmastra Universe was rumored to have been shelved. But the latest buzz reveals that it has reportedly been revived and extended into a three-part franchise. While the second part is expected to release in December 2026, the third installment may hit theaters in December 2027. Ayan Mukerji had earlier teased that Brahmastra 2 will be darker and more ambitious than the first installment.
