Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron’s latest visual wonder, Avatar – The Way of Water, has scripted history in India. This second part of the Avatar franchise has beaten the lifetime collection of Marvel’s blockbuster, Avengers: Endgame, and emerged as the all-time top Hollywood grosser in India.
As of now, Avatar 2 has collected a whopping Rs 368.20 crore nett and surpassed Avengers: Endgame’s Rs 367 crore nett box office collection in India. Trade analysts believe that Avatar 2 might end its full-run in India with a total nett collection of Rs 395 crore.
On the other hand, with $1.95 billion, Avatar: The Way of Water is currently the sixth all-time highest grossing movie in the world, standing next only to other top earners like Avatar ($2.92B), Avengers: Endgame ($2.79B), Titanic ($2.18B), Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.06B) and Avengers: Infinity War ($2.04B). Avatar 2 is expected to close its business after collecting about $2.10 billion.
