Young actress Kalyani Priyadarshan’s superhero film, Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, is the new Malayalam industry hit. The film has just scripted history by entering the Rs 300 crore club, a feat no other Mollywood film could achieve to date.
In its sensational box office run in the past few weeks, Lokah has destroyed all the existing records and set new benchmarks in Kerala, India, and overseas. With a staggering Rs 300 crore, Lokah now owns records such as the highest-grossing Malayalam film, the highest-grossing film in Kerala, and the highest-grossing Malayalam film in India, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and overseas.
Naslen and Sandy Master played lead roles, while Tovino Thomas and Dulquer Salmaan appeared in crazy cameos in Lokah. Directed by Dominic Arun, the film is produced by Dulquer Salmaan, while Jakes Bejoy composed the music. Following the historic success of Lokah, all eyes will be on the film’s sequel. Lokah will have its OTT premiere on October 20, 2025.
