Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Instagram star and dancer Dhanashree Verma are now officially divorced. The ex-couple was granted a divorce by a family court in Bandra, Mumbai, on Friday evening. The ex-couple completed the legal formalities for divorce with mutual consent.
Chahal and Dhanashree underwent a counseling session in an attempt to reconcile following the judge’s advice. However, after living separately for 18 months, the couple finally decided to not live together and part ways with mutual consent. Divulging the reason behind their separation, Chahal and Dhanashree revealed that their marriage was perfectly fine in the initial years. However, their bond weakened afterwards, and frequent arguments and a lack of mutual understanding further strained their relationship.
The divorce further led to rumors that Chahal will be paying Dhanashree Verma Rs 60 crores towards alimony. However, the couple or their legal counsels haven’t commented on these rumors. Yuzvendra and Dhanashree’s relationship blossomed in 2020. They tied the knot in December 2020.
