Fans of talented young actress Anupama Parameswaran’s silence on social media since May last week has been worrying her fans. Yesterday, Anupama came out of her hibernation and posted an emotional video and explained the reason behind her absence.

The Premam beauty said that she lost two of her pet dogs, Rum and Toddy, to a deadly virus named Parvovirus. The heartbroken actress also posted a couple of pictures to explain how the virus attacks the dogs and went on to request everyone to take care of their canine bodies.

Parvovirus doesn’t affect humans, but it has a grave impact on dogs. While vomiting, diarrhea, fever, lethargy, appetite loss and dehydration are the main symptoms of the Intestinal Parvovirus, breathing issues and congestive heart failure are the primary symptoms of the Cardiac Parvovirus. The virus is transmitted when puppies come into contact with a contaminated person, object (shoes or tyres) and environment.
