Sandalwood star Upendra’s social satirical film UI is performing well at the box office. Despite Pushpa 2’s storm, this Upendra starrer has managed to grab the eyeballs. The collections saw an upward trend in the first weekend, and the movie kickstarted the weekdays on an encouraging note. PAN India star Yash recently attended the celebrity premiere of UI.
Yash said some good things about this unconventional entertainer. He stated, “I am a huge fan of Uppi sir. He has been a great inspiration for many actors and technicians in Sandalwood. He is someone who we look up to. He has been inspiring us every now and then. Uppi sir has now come up with a new film. Like always he attempted a unique concept.”
Yash added, “It’s never about making another film for entertainment. He always creates films with deep, hidden meanings and philosophical things. I hope people will try to understand what he tried to say with UI.”
G Manoharan and KP Srikanth bankrolled UI under the banners of Lahari Films and Venus Entertainers. Naveen Manoharan is the co-producer, while Geetha Arts released the film in Telugu.
