Megastar Chiranjeevi, regarded as the last matinee idol of Telugu cinema, has three films in the pipeline. Among them, Vishwambhara, a socio-fantasy drama directed by Mallidi Vassishta, is his next big release. Trisha plays the female lead in this high-budget venture.
Initially slated for release on January 10, 2025, Vishwambhara vacated the slot in favor of Ram Charan’s Game Changer, which unfortunately turned out to be a box-office failure. Since then, the makers have remained largely silent, barring a minor update about a song. This prolonged lack of communication has left fans frustrated, while reports suggest that the film’s pre-business is not promising, with the makers yet to finalize an OTT deal.
There were speculations that Vishwambhara would arrive on May 9, 2025, but that too seems unlikely, given that a portion of the shoot remains unfinished and significant post-production work is still pending.
Despite being backed by UV Creations, the film’s teaser failed to create much buzz, with its CGI quality receiving criticism. With growing uncertainty, it’s high time the team breaks its silence and reassures fans about the film’s progress, especially given Chiranjeevi’s massive fan base and their mounting concerns.
