On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Kollywood star and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay extended his wishes to all the women of Tamil Nadu. In a special video message that was released on his X account this morning, Vijay addressed the women of Tamil Nadu as his mothers and sisters.
Vijay criticized the ruling DMK party for failing to provide safety and security to the women of Tamil Nadu. Accusing the DMK of misleading the voters, Vijay emphasized the need for change in governance. He went on to urge the women of the state to dethrone the DMK government in the 2026 assembly elections. Vijay added that the standards of women’s safety will be improved after the 2026 elections.
In December last year, following the brutal physical assault on an Anna University female student, Vijay submitted a petition to Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, urging enhanced safety and security to protect Tamil Nadu women. On the movies front, Vijay is currently working on his highly anticipated last movie, Jana Nayagan.
