War 2 is finally out in theatres and has taken a fair start at the box office office. On day one of its release, the action drama collected ₹84 crore globally which is a good number.
However, the film is receiving mixed reviews in certain areas. Many viewers are unhappy with the VFX. Be it NTR’s body shots or the action sequences, the tacky VFX is being widely trolled.
The boat sequences in particular have drawn criticism, as the CGI work is visible and not polished. Some are even questioning the need for excessive VFX and over-the-top action, suggesting that a more grounded approach would have delivered a better output.
That said, all these criticisms are being sidelined for now, as War 2 has taken a good start, and with the weekend ahead, the numbers are expected to remain steady.
