Powerstar Pawan Kalyan was last seen in the gangster action drama OG. His next theatrical release is Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar. The film is in its final leg of production, and Pawan Kalyan has already completed his portions.
Interestingly, director Harish Shankar had initially approached noted politician Malla Reddy for the antagonist’s role. In a recent interview, Malla Reddy revealed, “Harish Shankar came to my college and narrated the role for an hour. He even offered me Rs. 3 crore as remuneration. But I wasn’t comfortable playing a villain.”
He further added, “Till the interval, I would be scolding the hero, and after the interval, the hero would abuse and beat me up.” Following Malla Reddy’s revelation, netizens were quick to draw comparisons between Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Thalapathy Vijay’s Theri. Some even felt Malla Reddy closely resembles Theri’s villain J. Mahendran.
