The Telugu Film Industry Employees’ Federation has called for a strike after their salary demands were not met, a move that has angered both the TFCC and the Producers Council. The TFCC has passed a resolution stating that producers are free to work with anyone, union or non-union, who is skilled and willing to work for reasonable wages. Additionally, the industry has invited applications for various positions.
Producers C. Kalyan, Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu, Mythri Ravi Shankar, and Supriya Yarlagadda met Megastar Chiranjeevi today at his residence to discuss the issue. Describing the meeting, C. Kalyan said, “We explained the issue to Chiranjeevi Garu. He opined that it isn’t right to halt shoots all of a sudden. He also wants to hear the employees’ side. Chiru Garu said he will step in if the problem isn’t resolved within the next two or three days.”

Sharing his views on the matter, Telangana Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said, “There is a need to increase employees’ salaries given the rising cost of living in Hyderabad. I will hold a meeting with employees after my Delhi tour. We have assigned Dil Raju to handle this issue, and he is working on it. An amicable decision should be made after thorough discussions. The industry is producing PAN-Indian films, and we are allowing ticket rate hikes.”
