Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi is now out in theatres. The emotional action drama rides heavily on mother-son sentiment. Lady Superstar Vijayashanthi played Kalyan Ram’s mother. Saiee Manjrekar is the female lead. Pradeep Chilukuri, who earlier made Raja Cheyyi Vesthe, is the director.

During an interview, a journalist told Pradeep that the commercial cinema trope where the hero first acts as a criminal and later turns a cop has been overused. The director replied, “I am not at all worried about this aspect. Intellectual people criticize filmmakers who make commercial movies and often label them as run-of-the-mill directors.”

Pradeep Chilukuri added,” Commercial films have a different set of audience. They are not made for intellectuals. Our Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi’s target audience is different. I am sure they will surely connect to mother and son’s emotion.” This is an interesting statement from the young director and let’s see how the film fares at the box office.
