Hindi film superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011) were huge money-spinners at the box office. Written and directed by Farhan Akhtar, the Don franchise has a huge fan base and there has been a lot of hype and anticipation around the film’s third installment.
But, much to everyone’s surprise and disappointment, Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly walked out of Don 3. Until recently, there have been numerous speculations that Farhan Akhtar has been in talks with several leading actors to reprise Shah Rukh’s role in Don 3.
Now, if the latest buzz in Hindi film circles is anything to go by, popular hero Ranveer Singh is the frontrunner to step into Shah Rukh’s shoes and carry his legacy by playing the main lead in Don 3.
