90s kids who are now touching 40 still remember how big The Mummy (1999) felt when it came out. It was one of those films everyone watched again and again, either in theatres or later on TV. Simple adventure, fun vibe, that was the charm.
Now there’s some noise again about the franchise. A few reports in Hollywood are saying Brendan Fraser might come back as Rick O’Connell for The Mummy 4. Universal Pictures is said to be looking at continuing the old series. The Radio Silence duo (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett)is being mentioned for direction, and there are even talks that Rachel Weisz could return too. So naturally the buzz picked up.
