Tamil actor Soori, who predominantly played comedy roles in his career, is now playing lead roles. With Viduthalai, the actor delivered a massive blockbuster and won over the audience’s hearts. Soori’s recent village drama Garudan has also set the cash registers ringing. It grossed over 50 crores at the worldwide box office and emerged as one of the biggest hits of Tamil cinema in 2024.
The blockbuster action drama is now getting ready for its digital release. Garudan is expected to be available for streaming from this Friday (June 28) on Amazon Prime Video. An official announcement from the OTT platform will likely be made soon. Garudan arrived in theatres during the last week of May.
Star director Vetrimaaran penned the story for this rural entertainer. R.S. Durai Senthilkumar is the director. M. Sasikumar, Unni Mukundan, and Roshini Haripriyan played important roles. Grass Root Film Company and K. Kumar’s Lark Studio jointly bankrolled Garudan, while Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music.
