Following the controversy that erupted after the announcement of his National Award for Best Actor for Rustom, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar responded to the whole controversy for the first time.

Akshay said he has been observing such controversies over the past 25 years and that people always complain whenever someone wins the national award, and create a controversy on whether someone should have or should not have won the award.

“I have got this award after 26 years. If someone doesn’t want me to get this award, please go ahead and take it away from me,” Akshay said in his stride.
