Kollywood star Suriya’s Retro is being eagerly awaited by his fans. Ever since the film’s glimpse video and teaser were unveiled, the expectations among fans have been quite high.
And here’s the latest update on Retro. Leading Tollywood producer Naga Vamsi has acquired Retro’s Telugu theatrical release rights for a whopping Rs 9 crores. Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments will be planning a wide release across the twin Telugu states. Incidentally, Naga Vamsi will also bankroll Suriya’s straight Telugu movie under Venky Atluri’s direction.
Retro has star heroine Pooja Hegde playing the female lead. The film is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment banner. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music. Retro is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide on May 1, 2025.
