Released on November 14 amid sky-high hype and expectations, Kollywood star Suriya’s ambitious period action-fantasy drama, Kanguva, ended up being a colossal failure at the box office. The Siva directorial was panned by critics and movie lovers for the lack of emotional quotient and other technical shortcomings.
There has been a lot of buzz around Kanguva’s OTT release for the past few days. As per the latest updates, Kanguva will have its digital premiere on the streaming giant Amazon Prime Video on December 12, exactly a month after its theatrical release. An official announcement is awaited. Fans and cinephiles who missed the film in cinemas will soon have the opportunity to catch it upon its OTT premiere.
Kanguva also features Bollywood stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in lead roles. Suriya wowed his fans in a dual role of Kanguva and Francis. Devi Sri Prasad is the film’s music composer.
