Superstar Rajinikanth’s next release will be Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar. Both Superstar and the director’s previous flicks were big disappointments, and hence it is important that Jailer has to strike big.
The latest talk on social media is that Jailer is aiming for a 10th August 2023 release. If this turns out to be true, Jailer will clash with Siva Karthikeyan’s Maaveeran and Ranbir Kapoor’s PAN Indian film Animal. Also, the release on 10th August means that the Rajinikanth starrer will lock horns with Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar and Siddhu Jonnagaladda’s Tillu Square in Telugu states.
If so, all the films might lose a significant chunk of screens because of overcrowding. Jailer features Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannnaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, Jackie Shroff, Vasanth Ravi, and Yogi Babu in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the tunes for Jailer, which also has Mohanlal’s cameo.
