Sunny Deol’s Jaat: Elated by the response, makers announce a sequel

Bollywood action Superstar Sunny Deol’s latest outing, Jaat, directed by Tollywood filmmaker Gopichand Malineni, is performing well at the box office. The full-blown action entertainer is putting up a good show on single screens. Sunny Deol’s core strength is his mass image, and Jaat struck a chord with the target audience in mass circuits.

By the end of the first week, Jaat collected Rs. 58 crores nett in India, and the film is well on track to surpass the three-digit mark. The collections are expected to get a boost tomorrow due to the Good Friday holiday. Elated by the encouraging response, the makers announced a sequel to this power-packed titled Jaat 2. The announcement news indeed took the netizens by surprise.

The sequel deals with a new mission, and makers promised that the dosage of mass elements would be bigger and bolder this time. Jaat 2 will also be directed by Gopichand Malineni. Mythri Movie Makers, in association with People Media Factory, will bankroll the second installment, too. More details will be unveiled soon.
