Bollywood actor Sunny Deol’s latest movie, Jaat, is an action-packed drama directed by Telugu filmmaker Gopichand Malineni. The movie has opened to mixed reactions, but its collections have been decent.
On its first Tuesday, the movie collected a strong Rs. 6 crore, which is surprisingly good for a film with mixed reviews. With this, its total collection crossed the Rs. 50 crore milestone, reaching Rs. 53.92 crore nett. Meanwhile, the global collection is close to Rs. 65.45 crore, as per the makers.
Except in the North belt, the movie has failed to make a significant impact overseas and in the Telugu market, making it a somewhat disappointing venture in those regions. With Kesari Chapter 2 releasing this week, it remains to be seen how this will impact Jaat’s collection.
The film features Jagapathi Babu, Randeep Hooda, Ramya Krishnan, Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra, and Urvashi Rautela (in a special song), among others in key roles. The music is composed by Thaman, and the film is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory.
