Actress Anupama Parameswaran, who was recently seen in Bison and The Pet Detective, put up a post on Instagram talking about an issue she has been dealing with for a few days. She wrote that someone kept posting morphed photos of her and random accusations, and even tagged people she knows. At first, she didn’t take it seriously and assumed it was the usual trolling that comes and goes, but it kept continuing and felt a bit off.

She eventually figured out that a 20-year-old girl from Tamil Nadu was behind all of it. The girl had created several fake Instagram accounts and was using them only to target Anupama. After finding this out, Anupama filed a complaint with the Kerala Cyber Crime Police, and they managed to trace the person quite fast.

Even after knowing everything, Anupama said she didn’t want to reveal the girl’s name because of her age. She mentioned that the case will continue normally, but she doesn’t want to disturb the girl’s future by exposing her identity. She said this quite calmly without trying to make the issue look bigger than it already is.

Towards the end of her post, Anupama added that just having social media doesn’t mean people can do anything they want. She said that online actions can be tracked easily and people need to be responsible. Her post has been shared a lot, mainly because of how simply she explained what happened without blowing it out of proportion.
