Social media was abuzz since morning with rumors of star Tamil comedian Yogi Babu getting critically injured in a car accident in the wee hours of Sunday. The rumors left the actor’s fans and well-wishers anxious and deeply concerned about his well-being.
However, much to everyone’s relief, Yogi Babu took to X and clarified that he was not involved in any accident. “I am completely fine. This is false news. Nothing like that happened. No one was hurt. A production company’s vehicle hit the road barrier. Since we were ahead, we turned back to check what had happened, ensured everything was handled, and then left,” Yogi Babu posted on X.
As per media reports, the accident occurred near the Walajapet toll plaza on the Chennai-Bengaluru National Highway at around 3 AM on Sunday. Yogi Babu’s car reportedly veered off course after the driver lost control.
Yogi Babu was seen in key roles in the popular Tamil biggies such as Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time and Suriya’s Kanguva. He will next be seen in Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly and Prabhas’ The Raja Saab.
