Sivakarthikeyan has established himself as a minimum guarantee hero in Kollywood by consistently delivering promising films. The biographical film Amaran, headlined by him, grossed over Rs. 300 crores, elevating his career to new heights. His next two films, Madharasi, directed by Murugadoss, and Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, are set to release a few months apart.
In addition, Sivakarthikeyan has agreed to collaborate with Venkat Prabhu and Good Night director Vinayak Chandrasekaran. Initially, the actor planned to start working first on the latter’s film. The makers reportedly approached Malayalam superstar Mohanlal to play Sivakarthikeyan’s father.
Mohanlal is said to have given his nod, too. However, the latest buzz in Kollywood suggests the project will be delayed for some time, as Mohanlal is currently occupied with multiple commitments. The film reportedly centers on a father-son relationship, and the team firmly believes Mohanlal is the ideal choice for the role, prompting them to wait for his availability.
Meanwhile, due to the unexpected delay, Sivakarthikeyan has reportedly decided to proceed with Venkat Prabhu’s project. Despite rumors of a reshuffle in Sivakarthikeyan’s lineup, his future projects look strong both commercially and creatively.
