45 is a Kannada language multistarrer featuring Shiva Rajkumar, Upendra, and Raj B. Shetty in the lead roles. The fantasy action drama marks the directorial debut of singer Arjun Janya. The film should have been released on August 15, but due to the delay in post-production, it was postponed.
A while ago, Shiva Rajkumar took to his social media and announced that the movie would hit the big screens on December 25, 2025. As of now, no other Kannada film has been announced for Christmas release. 45 is set for a PAN-Indian release, and it will face stiff competition from Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit and Alia Bhatt’s Alpha in the Telugu and Hindi markets.
Director Arun Janya’s brother, who died during COVID-19, is said to be the inspiration behind 45’s plot. Reportedly, the movie will center on the 45-day period following a person’s death, a phase in Sanatana Dharma believed to determine whether the soul transitions to the afterlife or is reborn. The movie is produced by Ramesh Reddy under the Suraj Productions banner.
