Shah Rukh Khan Injured During King Movie Shoot, Filming on Hold

Shah Rukh Khan suffered a minor muscle injury today while filming an action scene for his upcoming movie King at Golden Tobacco Studio in Mumbai. Though the injury is not serious, production has been paused for now.

Doctors have advised a month of rest, and Shah Rukh has flown to the United States for treatment. Filming schedules at Film City and YRF Studios are on hold. Shooting is expected to resume in September or October. A crew member shared that it was “just a muscle issue from stunts.”

Fans quickly flooded X with messages of support, wishing the superstar a fast recovery. Directed by Siddharth Anand, King stars Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma. The film is aiming for a mid-2026 release.
