Nandamuri Balakrishna, who scored consecutive hits with Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy, has now come up with Bhagavanth Kesari, written and directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film took a decent opening at the box office. The opening numbers were affected to an extent in Telugu states due to Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo, which was also released on 19th October.
Yesterday, Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao hit the big screens, due to which Bhagavanth Kesari and Leo lost a few theatres. So, it had an impact on yesterday’s collections of these two flicks. Now that all movies have been released and word of mouth has come out, Saturday will give us a clear picture of where these films are heading.
Considering the business of Leo, the movie might achieve its breakeven mark if it performs decently over the next four days (Dusshera festive period). On the other hand, Bhagavanth Kesari and Tiger Nageswara Rao need to hold their ground at the box office for a few more days since the costs involved are a bit higher. There is no doubt that Dussehra will be advantageous for all three releases, but it needs to be seen to what extent the films will make use of the holiday period.
