Released on January 14 as a Sankranthi festive treat, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam collected a solid Rs 106 crore share globally in 3 days. The film surpassed everyone’s expectations and collected a cool Rs 29 crore on Thursday and is eyeing the Rs 150 crore club by the end of this weekend. The film has clocked over 1.5 million ticket sales on BookMyShow. Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has also zoomed past the $1 million mark in North America, becoming the fastest film in Venky’s career to surpass both the Rs 100 crore and $1M clubs.
Sankranthiki Vasthunnam may go on to enter the Rs 200 crore club in its full run. However, the film needs to maintain its momentum throughout the next week to pull off this humongous feat.
