Friday release The Girlfriend is steady at the box office. It stars Rashmika Mandanna and Deekshith Shetty in crucial roles, with Rahul Ravindran at the helm as director.

The movie wrapped up its first weekend with a North American gross of over $375K. It’s close to the $500K mark, which it’s likely to touch by the end of the day.

In India, the film’s total collection is estimated to be around Rs. 5 crore. Monday’s numbers will decide how well it can sustain in the long run.
