Kollywood legends Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are teaming up for a film after 46 years. Their last movie together was Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum (1979). At SIIMA 2025, Kamal confirmed they are acting together again.

In Chennai today, Rajinikanth told the media, “Yes, we are working on a project, which will be produced by Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) and Red Giant Movies.” When asked about the director, he said no final decision had been made yet. This stirred curiosity across social media.

Rumours had suggested Lokesh Kanagaraj might direct, with script work underway, but Rajini didn’t confirm. Whether Lokesh is involved or the details are being kept under wraps will be revealed soon.
