Mollywood director Alphonse Puthren, known for the cult classic Premam, released a film called Gold in 2022, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara in key roles. However, the film failed to meet the high expectations and turned out to be a box office disaster.
After this setback, the director decided to take a hiatus but is now making a comeback with a new movie titled Gift. The flick boasts an ensemble cast, including Sandy Master, Kovai Sarala, Sampath Raj, Sahana Sarvesh, Raahul, Charlie, Crawford, Raichal Rabecca, Gopalan Palakkad, and Cycle Mani. The innovative poster released online has generated curiosity among the audience.
Produced by Romeo Pictures, Gift has already begun its production. Renowned music composer Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja has taken up the role of the music director. He composed seven songs and even lent his voice to one of them. Further details about the film are being kept under wraps and will be unveiled in the coming days.
