Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju’s Dude is slated to hit the big screens on October 17, 2025. The theatrical trailer of this film, directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, promised abundant fun and emotions. Speaking in an interview, Pradeep Ranganathan revealed that Dude tackles abusive relationships in households.
He said, “Dude will be 70% of Love Today. The comedy angle is there. But compared to Love Today, Dude will have more emotional depth. In Love Today, only the final portions were very serious. I don’t know how emotional it was. Dude’s emotional portions begin from the 20th minute. Dude is a more family-friendly movie than just a jovial and youthful film.”
Pradeep added, “Still, there are women in households who hold on to the relationship even after facing physical abuse and dowry issues because they are married. I don’t think they need to go through such a painful relationship. The person is more important than the marriage ritual. People will get satisfied after watching the film. I will not lose the audience that I have gathered from Love Today and Dragon.”
