Sapthagiri, known for entertaining audiences as a comedian and lead actor, is back with a new film, Pelli Kaani Prasad, directed by Abhilash Reddy Gopidi. The teaser was officially launched today by none other than Tollywood’s most eligible bachelor, Prabhas.
It begins with Sapthagiri taking an oath before his forefathers, vowing to follow the “dowry rule book.” According to the book, he must receive at least Rs. 2 crore in dowry, paid in cash, to get married – anything less is unacceptable. With such strict conditions, will he remain Pelli Kaani Prasad (the eternal bachelor) forever?
Sapthagiri’s comedy timing adds extra fun to the story, blending humour with social commentary. Priyanka Sharma plays the female lead, while Muralidhar Goud and Laxman appear in key roles.
Produced by K.Y. Babu of Vision Group, along with Bhanu Prakash Goud, Sukka Venkateshwar Goud, and Vybhav Reddy Mutyala, the film is set to release in theaters on March 21, 2025. Chaganti Cinematic World is backing the project, while Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), led by Dil Raju, is handling distribution. Shekar Chandra is the music composer.
