8 Vasantalu, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is set for a worldwide release on June 20, 2025. Directed by Phanindra Narsetti, the film stars Ananthika Sanilkumar in the lead and has been positioned as a soulful, emotionally driven drama. The promos have already generated a positive buzz, hinting at a film rooted in sensitivity and strong storytelling.
Speaking at the pre-release event, director Phanindra praised producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar for supporting good content without worrying about budget or scale. He stated that Mythri backs meaningful cinema, not just big films, and said this project stands as proof.
He also revealed that Ananthika didn’t charge any remuneration for her role, saying, “At just 17, she knows how to earn money and when to say no to it – that’s real maturity.” He called her passion rare and her performance as Shuddhi Ayodhya deeply impressive.
Phanindra emphasised that the film plays out in reverse, urging audiences not to miss the opening sequence. Responding to suggestions about making commercial films, he said emotional stories, when told honestly, can be more powerful than spectacle. Confident in the film’s connect, he noted, “Audiences will walk into the theatre as viewers and walk out as lovers.”
