Akhanda 2 is one of the most awaited films in Tollywood. The action drama, headlined by Balakrishna, is the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film is being made on a massive scale. However, there is a lot of confusion regarding its release.
The makers have repeatedly announced that the movie will release on September 25, but industry talk suggests that Akhanda 2 might be pushed to December. Meanwhile, a report about the non-theatrical deals is going viral. Accordingly, Jio Hotstar is said to be the frontrunner to acquire the post-theatrical streaming rights.
The report further mentioned that, Jio Hotstar will likely grab the deal as it offered more amount than Netflix and Amazon Prime. For those unaware, the first installment is also streaming on Jio Hotstar. Samyuktha plays the female lead, while Aadhi Pinisetty will be seen as the antagonist. Pragya Jaiswal and Harshaali Malhotra play prominent roles.
