Mazaka director Trinadha Rao Nakkina ventured into production with Chaurya Paatam, a crime-comedy drama. The film introduces young talent Indhra Ram as the protagonist. Directed by debutant Nikhil Gollamari, the small-budget film features Payal Radhakrishna as the heroine.
While promoting Chaurya Paatam, Trinadha Rao Nakkina expressed his opinion about the dire state of theatres in Andhra Pradesh. “People have stopped coming to theatres lately. In many areas, second shows are not being screened. I have seen this myself. Even films spearheaded by stars are facing the same fate,” said the Dhamaka director.
Trinadha Rao Nakkina added, “I don’t understand why people aren’t visiting theatres. The situation has become very scary. I am highly worried about releasing a film like Chaurya Paatam, which has newcomers in times like this. We postponed the release to April 25 because of cricket matches. Not just IPL, but somewhere, we are failing to bring audiences to theatres.”
