Middle Class Melodies, headlined by Anand Deverakonda and Varsha Bollamma, was released directly on Prime Video during the COVID pandemic. The family drama directed by Vinod Anantoju was a solid hit on the streaming platform. The actor and director have once again joined forces for a film titled Takshakudu.
Just like Middle Class Melodies, even Takshakudu will also have a direct OTT release, but on Netflix. In a media interaction, Takshakudu’s producer, Naga Vamsi, revealed the reason behind opting for a digital release.
“Certain stories are meant for theatrical experience, while some stories suit OTT screens and a larger audience. Netflix is planning to release Takshakudu in a massive 30 languages across multiple countries. The theme of the film will appeal to a larger number of audiences, and hence we are skipping the theatrical release,” said Naga Vamsi.
Laapata Ladies fame Nitanshi Goel is making her Tollywood debut with this flick. Takshakudu is jointly produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinema.
