Kollywood actor Suriya was last seen in the romantic action drama, Retro. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film fell short of the massive expectations and underperformed at the box office big time. Star heroine Pooja Hegde played the female lead.
Except for Tamil Nadu, the film had a poor run in other territories. Retro is now available for streaming on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages along with English subtitles. The theatrical window is four weeks.
Given the underwhelming response in theatres, we can expect Retro to do well on Netflix. Jyotika and Suriya produced Retro under the banner of 2D Entertainment, and Santosh Narayanan composed the tunes. Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Prakash Raj, Nassar, and Swasika played supporting roles.
