Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, was released in theatres on March 27, 2025. Despite receiving mixed reviews and landing in controversy, the political action thriller emerged as a blockbuster. Empuraan raked in over Rs. 265 crores gross at the worldwide box office and is now the new industry hit of Mollywood.
Empuraan is now available to stream on Jio Hotstar in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages, along with English subtitles. The theatrical window is four weeks. This is a great chance for those who missed watching this flick in theatres. There is no info yet about the Hindi version’s digital premiere.
The biggie also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Abhimanyu Singh, and Manju Warrier in key roles. Empuraan is jointly produced by Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas, and Sree Gokulam Movies. Deepak Dev composed the tunes.
