Young Malayalam actress Kalyani Priyadarshan’s highly acclaimed superhero film, Lokah, scripted history by becoming the new industry hit of Mollywood. The film has amassed over a whopping Rs 270 crores at the worldwide box office and dethroned Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2E: Empuraan’s lifetime collection to emerge as the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all time.
Even as Lokah continues to register decent collections at the box offices across Kerala, speculations are right that the film will make its OTT debut very soon. However, Dulquer Salmaan, who produced Lokah, has put an end to the ongoing rumors and informed the Kerala film exhibitors that Lokah will not be making its digital premiere anytime soon. The film will utilize the festive holiday advantage before debuting on Netflix at the end of October.
Lokah is directed by Dominic Arun, and it also features Premalu fame Naslen and Sandy Master in lead roles, while Tovino Thomas, Dulquer Salmaan, and others appeared in crazy cameos. Jakes Bejoy composed the music. All eyes are now on the film’s sequel.
