The Pet Detective is Anupama Parameswaran’s latest Malayalam release, a clear box-office hit produced by and headlined by Sharaf U Dheen. Directed by Praneesh Vijayan, the film blends crime and comedy with an easy, entertaining rhythm.
It opened in theaters on October 16, 2025, and will arrive on ZEE5 on November 28, 2025. We had earlier reported its OTT arrival, and the platform has now confirmed that the film will stream in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada as well, expanding its reach beyond the Malayalam audience.
Vinayakan, Vinay Forrt, Johny Antony, Jaffer Idukki, and others round out the supporting cast. The film is co-produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the Sree Gokulam Movies banner, with Sam C S scoring the music.
With its digital release just days away, viewer response on OTT is something many are watching closely.
